FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can’t find your answer? Call us on 07474 701968 — we’re happy to help.

Do you really offer free quotes?+
Yes — every quote is free and comes with no obligation. We visit, inspect the roof properly, and give you a clear written breakdown of materials, labour and scaffolding. You’re never pressured to go ahead.
How quickly can you come out for an emergency?+
For urgent leaks and storm damage we aim to be with you the same day, and we run a 24/7 emergency line. Call 07474 701968 and we’ll make your home safe and watertight as fast as possible.
How do I know whether I need a repair or a new roof?+
Our roofer will give you an honest answer after inspecting it. If the timbers are sound and the damage is localised, a repair is usually all you need. We only recommend a full replacement when it genuinely makes more sense long term.
Are you insured and guaranteed?+
Absolutely. The roofers we work with are fully insured, and all work is backed by a written workmanship guarantee — with manufacturer guarantees of up to 25 years on many materials.
Which areas of Sunderland do you cover?+
We cover the whole of Sunderland and the wider North East, including Washington, Houghton-le-Spring, Hetton-le-Hole, Roker, Seaburn, Southwick, Fulwell and many more. If you’re nearby, just ask.
How long does a new roof installation take?+
Most residential new roofs take 3–7 days depending on size, pitch and the weather. We give you a clear timeline when we quote.
Do you offer guarantees on your work?+
Yes. All work carries a written workmanship guarantee, and many materials come with manufacturer guarantees of up to 25 years.
Can you help with my insurance claim?+
Often, yes — particularly for storm damage. We provide photos and clear documentation of the damage and required work to support your claim.
What flat roof system do you recommend?+
For most homes EPDM rubber or GRP fibreglass — both are seamless, durable and far outlast old-style felt. We’ll advise on the best fit at your survey.
Do you remove the old roof and clear up?+
Always. We strip the old roof, check and replace any rotten timbers, fit new felt and battens, and clear all waste before we leave.
Are dry ridge and dry verge systems worth it?+
In the North East, very much so. They replace crack-prone mortar with mechanical fixings that won’t blow off or wash out — virtually maintenance-free for decades.
